COURSES
Course: Revised General Nursing & Midwifery
HFINE offers a three-and-a-half-year Diploma in Revised General Nursing & Midwifery recognised by the Indian Nursing Council, Maharashtra Nursing Council and Government of Maharashtra. More
The course is covered through classroom lectures, field exposure, clinical experience and six months of internship.
Eligibility
We accept both male and female candidates for our course. Hostel accommodation at our Naigaon (East) campus is provided to unmarried female candidates only.
Duration: Three and a half years
Medium of Instruction
The medium of instruction is English.
Theory Component
This is covered through lectures, assignments, projects, seminars, educational visits and periodic assessment
Clinical Experience
HFINE has a formal arrangement with the Holy Family Hospital at Bandra, Mumbai, for clinical practice. Every student nurse who enrols for our programme receives comprehensive training at this super-specialty hospital.
Working with advanced technology and infrastructure at the hospital and medical research centre, and its noted doctors, consultants and specialists, and senior nursing staff offers our students crucial clinical experience.
Also, since our parent institution is one of the country’s largest super-specialty hospitals, our students are acquainted, first-hand with hospital administrative practices.
In addition to the curriculum, we also conduct short-term modules, such as personality development programmes, yoga classes and English-language training, to provide a comprehensive learning experience.
Internship
Internship commences at the end of three years and lasts six months.
Each student receives a stipend of Rs 3,000 per month.

Monitoring & Mentoring
HFINE enjoys an excellent reputation for quality teaching and student care. Apart from their impeccable qualifications, our core faculty has years of experience in mentoring students, which makes the learning process personalised and stress-free.
Our student nurses are also mentored throughout the course by senior students and other nursing professionals at the Holy Family Hospital in Bandra, Mumbai.
We insist on discipline, regular attendance and consistently monitor academic progress. Feedback on students’ performance is also sought from senior nursing supervisors as well as patients during clinical practice.
Counselling & Guidance
Students receive timely personal guidance and counselling should the need arise, and parents / guardians are apprised of the welfare and performance of their wards.
Health Record
HFINE maintains a cumulative health record of every student
Reservation
According to MNC regulations, 50 per cent seats are set aside for candidates domiciled in Maharashtra (seats not filled during the admission process are transferred to the open category). The remaining seats are open to all.
